Biden’s disastrous woke policy consequences are worse than seeing grandma naked
James Carville thinks that Democrats’ “feminine” focus on “woke stuff is killing us” — and could cost the party the election.
"It’s the economy, stupid" is a phrase that was coined by James Carville in 1992 when he was a strategist in Bill Clinton's successful 1992 U.S. presidential. Today the phrase should be “it’s inflation and illegal immigration, stupid.” Two topics the Democrats avoid like the plague or spin.
Democratic strategist James Carville blamed the party’s polling problems on “too many preachy females” and compared looking at President Biden’s remarkably low approval ratings to “walking in on your grandma naked.”
“You can’t get the image out of your mind,” Carville, 79, told The New York Times’ Maureen Dowd.
Biden’s approval rating sits at a pitiful 37% even after his divisive and agitated State of the Union address.
Carville thinks that Democrats’ “feminine” focus on “woke stuff is killing us” — and could cost the party the election.
He’s most concerned about Biden losing support of black voters, a critical constituency. Carville decried the tendency to prioritize identity politics over broader issues of concern to voters.
“A suspicion of mine is that there are too many preachy females” dominating the Democrats’ culture and message, he told The Times in New Orleans. “‘Don’t drink beer. Don’t watch football. Don’t eat hamburgers. This is not good for you.’ The message is too feminine: ‘Everything you’re doing is destroying the planet. You’ve got to eat your peas.’
“If you listen to Democratic elites — NPR is my go-to place for that — the whole talk is about how women, and women of color, are going to decide this election,” he continued. “I’m like: ‘Well, 48 percent of the people that vote are males. Do you mind if they have some consideration?”
"Who ever thought it was a good idea to tell people you can’t hug them or you’ve got to be careful or you’ve got to think about names to call them other than the name you know them by?" he asked. "There’s nothing wrong with me being White or you being White or them being Black or me being male or you being female."
"It’s a giant, stupid argument," he said.
Carville disagrees with party members who think there has been too much emphasis on Biden’s age.
“Now don’t tell me that Biden has more energy or cognition than Trump because it’s evident that, yeah, Trump’s got word salads, but he projects energy,” Carville said — also calling Trump “insane” and a “criminal.”
While he’s unsure if Biden can win a new term, Carville is still supporting him.
“He’s a tenacious guy that’s had a real life. He’s a state school guy. He doesn’t have an iota of elitism. He doesn’t even know what ‘woke’ is,” he said.
When asked how Biden can change the narrative around his campaign, Carville said: “I don’t think he can do much more than soldier on and let the Democratic groups kick in.”
Biden understands “woke” ideology. He is not completely clueless. His entire administration is one big woke enterprise—on steroids. Massive wealth redistribution policies are justified in the name of “environmental justice’ and hires are based on identity politics, diversity, inclusion and equity (DEI). Meritocracy is replaced by mediocracy and the result is an incompetent and bloated [administrative state] bureaucracy. Every agency head is a woke ideologue and the whole of government is designed to benefit the Democratic Party coalition.
His open border policies and deficit spending has put our country on path toward financial ruin and lower standards of living for Americans.
As usual, the Democratic Party will spool up a massive propaganda machine as the election nears. It will be filled with half-truths, exaggerations, and bald face lies. Biden’s progressive handlers provide the narratives he parrots.
Biden appears clueless about how destructive his policies are for the working class and future generations that must pay the high costs of those policies. He steals America’s future prosperity by buying votes today with deficit spending and unsustainable levels of debt. Now that’s an image that is hard to get out of our collective minds.
Vaughn,
I defer the financial analysis to you. I'm a Monday morning analyst based on my experiences running businesses. I've worked with people of all pay scales and seen how they respond to changes in the economy; that's where my comments come from (and my Econ minor from college).
I'm happy to review anything you would like but I'll let you develop your outline without interference.
Vaughn,
You are too kind to Biden. The man's sole focus since he entered office was to become President of the United States. He would have tried in 2016 but Obama, his handler, wouldn't hear it because even Obama thought Joe was not competent then.
Biden has a history of swinging in the wind to whatever side of an issue he thinks will help advance his career. From support of the KKK, opposition to busing, opposition to immigration, and a balanced budget, to his current positions which are diametrically opposite from prior positions. While it is understandable that a person can modify their opinions due to new facts or better thinking, that's not Biden's habit.
His most recent damaging actions include deliberate violation of Supreme Court interpretations of the US Constitution. Biden doesn't care what the law is or why a law was written and passed; if it goes against is present plans (to buy votes) he will ignore the law, the Constitution, and the overall structure of the US Government (three co-equal branches).
You are correct, Biden is indeed clueless of how the nation works and creates wealth. His actions are damaging to the middle class which he claims to be part of (he hasn't been part of the middle class since he was a 2nd term Senator and has become far wealthier than his claimed peers). His actions will bankrupt the middle class, not due to his direct taxes which he claims will only be applied to people earning over $400k per year. He will bankrupt them with significant inflationary cost increases. He claims to raise the minimum wage without realizing that raises all costs. It also pushes the middle class to purchase goods made overseas (China, Vietnam, India, etc.) and destroy the US manufacturing base. Additionally, his actions will accelerate the implementation of AI and robotics further eliminating jobs for the middle class.
Biden is a disaster who should be replaced in November. I hope my wishes come true. He'll still have another 2-1/2 months to do damage, but at least the damage will have a clear end.
