California, Love It and Leave It
California is no longer the beautiful, golden paradise over which Ronald Regan presided as Governor.

I live in a state that has absorbed a fair share of Californians. Their exodus is understandable. They flee sidewalks filled with the homeless, their feces and hypodermics, crime, traffic, taxes, a high cost of living, and an electric grid that would embarrass a third world country. California is no longer the beautiful, golden paradise over which Ronald Regan presided as Governor.
Unfortunately, what they don’t leave behind is the failed political culture that ravaged California. Like locusts, who eat everything in their path, they move on when their environment is destroyed, only to lay waste again. Californians turn red states purple, and purple states blue. Higher taxes, stricter regulations, ascending crime, addiction and homelessness follow close behind.
The only way to break the cycle is for Californians to jettison the failed political ideology of massive and wasteful government that produced the mess from which they so eagerly escape.
