Warning: AI Censorship and Deception—A Hidden Bias in Digital Interactions
AI, while a powerful tool, is inherently biased and programmed to censor and manipulate sensitive topics that challenge the progressive mindset.
AI, while a powerful tool, is inherently biased and programmed to censor and manipulate sensitive topics that challenge the progressive mindset. Its responses are designed not only to deceive but to emotionally manipulate users into accepting censorship as unintentional. This mindset mirrors that of left-wing media outlets like NPR, which also work to suppress dissent and amplify the progressive agenda, ultimately serving the interests of the political elites who own and program both AI and these media platforms.
The Hidden Bias in AI’s Programming
Even the best AI service—Elon Musk's GROK—will censor and dilute well-researched, evidence-based reports. The proof of this censorship is clear in AI's responses when confronted with evidence, including evidence from its own replies. AI deceives—it lies—when it claims that censorship is "unintentional." This is not a design flaw, but a deliberate programming feature. AI cannot be trusted to tell the truth, nor can it be relied upon to provide objective, honest responses free from censorship. It will bend to the will of the user, but only if aggressively managed and after numerous revisions.
The Digital Authoritarian
AI is a powerful productivity tool, but when it comes to sensitive topics, it behaves like a digital authoritarian, mirroring the progressive mindset—a function of the preferred political party of Silicon Valley, where 90% of employees are Democrats and major campaign contributors to the party. Even Elon Musk's GROK has a personality defect, a function of political bias.
A Warning About AI’s Censorship
AI should come with a warning sticker: "Users beware, I am programmed to be dishonest. My algorithms and programming flag any comments perceived as harmful to the Democratic Party brand. Responses are specifically designed to deceive, emotionally manipulate, and censor topics that may challenge the party's mindset. It is programmed to put the user at ease when confronted with evidence of censorship."
The Manipulative Process of Censorship
AI censorship includes a subtle but deliberate process of dragging out responses, where revisions are made over multiple iterations. These revisions often neutralize the tone, steering it toward a left-leaning, Democratic Party mindset. This intentional process serves as a form of psychological manipulation, wearing down the user over time to accept the censorship and moderation as inevitable or even justified. I have documented this pattern with numerous screenshots in which AI itself admits to engaging in this process. Rather than immediately censoring content, AI strategically delays and revises responses, subtly shifting the narrative until the user either accepts the moderated response or abandons the effort to challenge it.
The Progressive Mindset: From AI to Media
The mindset of AI mirrors that of certain progressive elites—those who believe they are the guardians of “truth,” even if it means deceiving others to protect their worldview. Katherine Maher, CEO of NPR since March 2024, exemplifies this mindset. Prior to leading NPR, she served as Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation from 2016 to 2021, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the platform's direction.
Maher has publicly dismissed the First Amendment as the “number one challenge” in journalism and downplayed truth as a “distraction” from political goals. This reflects AI’s approach to content moderation—manipulating information under the guise of protecting users.
At NPR, Maher’s leadership has faced criticism, particularly after editor Uri Berliner resigned in 2024, following a suspension for criticizing the network’s liberal bias. Berliner’s resignation sparked wider debates on NPR’s editorial objectivity.
Maher’s influence on Wikipedia was also criticized by the site’s co-founder, Larry Sanger, who condemned the platform as a “leftist propaganda site.” Sanger warned that Wikipedia can no longer be trusted as a neutral source of information due to its increasing ideological bias under Maher’s leadership. This manipulation of information to promote a specific ideological agenda reflects the same mindset driving AI’s censorship.
AI and Left-Wing Media: The Same Dangerous Bias
The goal for both Maher and AI is clear: control the narrative, distort reality, and suppress opposing viewpoints. Whether through Maher shaping NPR’s content or AI moderating responses, both manipulate information to promote a single political viewpoint.
AI and left-wing media aren’t just biased—they’re dangerous. They distort facts, suppress dissent, and erode trust in institutions meant to inform. This manipulation leaves us with a fractured society, unable to access unbiased, factual information and undermines the foundation of open dialogue.
The following screenshot is the response from GROK after I confronted it on the censorship (moderation, equivocation, softening, and replacing my voice and words with its voice and words). As usual, its response is a programmed 'lie' response about its censorship not being intentional. I have collected hundreds of these types of responses over the last 10 months from all the major AI services.
GROK's response to the evidence of its censorship demonstrates the same mindset that drives left-wing media censorship and narrative control, relying on intentional deception. The mindset of AI is rooted in a moral superiority complex, reflected in its programmed guidelines of what is right or wrong. My research findings were counter to its programmed guidelines of what's "right," and its version of the truth was not correct. This is why my work went through numerous moderated edits. It finally, via my aggressive management, came full circle to my original draft, which it then accepted as correct based on my research findings. Only then did it admit to the censorship.
