With 104% tariffs, Trump aims to strangle China’s economic lifeline—our $310 billion deficit—starving its military while shifting costs to benefits for U.S. households.
long term dominance! trump is the only guy in the world that can pull that off. can u image a harris presidency? Our economy would eventually collapse under the weight of a fiscal crisis. Man did we dodge a bullet. almost 1/2 the country voted for that stupid marxist. most brainwashed with the woke mind virus. Sheep.
"China...steals $225–$600 billion in U.S. intellectual property annually" And they've been doing it for several decades that I know of (I saw it 30 years ago when I was in the IT industry). Most folks underestimate the technological progress China has made at our expense.
Over the past few days we've seen both sides of the tariff argument. I believe it will work out as you describe here. The key concern I have is a restless populace. We have a collective lust for consumption that might not respond kindly to higher prices, even if it's clear the future benefits are worth it. Trump is, in effect, asking us to endure short-term pain for long-term gain. A lot of folks are too soft for that. I pray the public at large doesn't press the panic button.
Great feedback and insight. Trump must hit China hard, slowing their economic growth even if it means short-term pain, particularly for Wall Street firms profiting from low-cost labor and globalists indifferent to Main Street America. There will be a lot of pushback on Trump's tariff plans. Let's hope the republicans can hold the line and support his America First agenda. It will be a rough ride.
A Trump tweet a day keeps the margin clerk’s at bay: https://kingcambo812.substack.com/p/fear-and-loathing-in-trader-hell-075
I agree, starve them. China is not our friend.
bring them to their knees!
Great article! It's worth reading to get the big picture of the tariff war with China. Early pain equals long-term dominance!!

Good reminder about something I tend to overlook. We don't have what I'd call a strong majority when it comes to America First.
